Metro Games (not to be confused with MET games) was based in New York and can be recognized by the style of its soaring sparrow one bamboo. Other manufacturer's copied this style but Metro Games can be spotted by the number of wing feathers and the style of the collar on the neck of the bird.

The game is from the early 1950's. It would have originally had 146 tiles. Additional Metro tiles have been added to this game to make it playable using NMJL rules. Check out the picture of the backs of the tiles to see how lovely a match the tiles are.

There are 8 flowers - 2 bouquets numbered 1-4 and 8 stickered tiles to be used as jokers. The racks are made from a swirled Bakelite in forest green, lemon, orange/red and medium green. The racks have matching butterscotch Bakelite E's. The case is original and has a strong Bakelite handle. Tokens are included with the game.
