Royal Depth Control (not to be confused with Royal or Royal Crisloid) was a brand name for the games manufactured by A & L Manufacturing based in Brooklyn, New York.

There are two distinct styles of one bamboo the style found in this game This game has the perching pheasant tile reminiscent of the 10 Flowers style one bamboo. This also has an unusual style white dragon - normally the paint is a single color - this has 2 colors on the picture frame border.

This game is from the 1940's and has 10 flowers, 2 bouquets numbered 1-5 and 6 stickered tiles that can be used as jokers. The additional joker tiles have been added from a partial RDC game and are an excellent match - check out the picture of the backs of the tiles, they are a fantastic match. Note the tiles in this game are a much deeper butterscotch than most - they are like a rich toffee color :)

The racks are a swirled Bakelite and the colors are wine bottle green, medium green, butterscotch and a beige. The colors of the racks are much deeper and richer than the newer racks tend to be and the swirling is truly magnificent in person. The Bakelite E's compliment the racks beautifully. The case is original and in great condition with a Bakelite handle. Tokens are included. All in all this is a very nice game and in great condition.
